Tusked Crescent Pocketbook & Fisher Capomatic Pen with Rothco All-Weather pad EVERYDAY CARRY SET
EDC is everyday carry; items you need and use from day to day that are always with you. I was taught a man should always have a pocket knife with him and a pen. Well if you’re going to have a pen with you, you might as well grab a pad of paper to. The Pocketbook Bundle by Tusked Crescent incorporates both into a nice EDC package for the day to day routines. The Pocketbooks creator Anton says “I created this Pocketbook as a robust easily pocketable notepad holder/wallet in a police investigator style.” It is indeed robust, a little bigger than my usual naked Moleskin Cashiers Journal I carry and very reminisce of the old detective’s style notepads you’ve seen in the movies. It easily held just about everything I wanted to put in it. It features 3 card slots and a clear view ID slot as well as two internal pockets one on either side. Along with that there is a slot to slide a notebook in like the Rothco weatherproof pad it comes with, SD card sleeve, Sim card sleeve and lastly another slot externally on the back. Inside I was able to get my license, debit card, a gift card, 11 in 1 survival tool, some cash, SD card, business cards, the Rothco pad and my Fisher Space pen with ease. On the outside slot I slipped in my Gerber Shard and Nite Ize STS with no issues whatsoever. In the pocket it all felt a little bulky but fit nicely and that was with both just the pad in it and then again with everything listed in it. I am not a fan of over the top flip style pads either, I like my Moleskin style side open. Which Tusked Crescent does make one in that style, which I hope to review later on. However if you like the Rite in Rain pads or other top flip style pads this might be up your ally. The quality is amazing which surprised me as this is a budget EDC item and many holders in similar style cost nearly $100. The stitching was tight and the leather though lightweight feels soft, sturdy and strong. For $18 you won’t find a better EDC notepad holder/wallet, I highly recommend this product as I think it’d be a great addition to anyone’s EDC that likes this style notepad.
